MOVE OVER BANKSY
MOVE OVER BANKSY Here, above and below, is a selection of artwork by Sandrine Boulet, a French artist. She takes photographs of everyday objects found on the streets of Paris and draws over them to make art. Art’s that simple! Though Sandrine Boulet’s work isn’t graffiti as she doesn’t paint on the streets, her work is similar to Banksy’s work but without the politics. Do you like Sandrine Boulet’s artwork? Do you think graffiti on publicly-owned property should be legalised? Would you like Banksy to secretly visit you and leave behind a mural on your home? I think street art is great. It brightens up the place. It seems to be called street art when it’s been officially commissioned. If not official, it’s just graffit But I think graffiti on publicly-owned property should be allowed and even encouraged on the streets. Now, nearly everyone seems to Banksy to do his next mural on their home so they can it for lots of money! For that reason alone, I’d love Banksy to secretly visit my home. |

Last year, Banksy visited Nottingham where I live and left behind a mural on the side of a beauty salon. The mural attracted a crowd of people to view it, but the salon owner sold the mural for a six figure-sum to an art collector from Essex. Most people in Nottingham were unhappy about this sale as they felt Banksy’s mural belonged to the people of Nottingham. Street art is people’s art!

I love her work. I don't think graffiti is a good thing unless it's art — and not simply a four-letter scrawl. We have tons of murals in this town, and it's great! My favourites are 3D works that you feel you can fall into. 😮❗ ... is there another way to look at it Going Too Fucking Far NEW Blog Features RevealeD O O A Foolproof Method Posted Over on that NEW site O O

This is some great art work, we have a local artist here that goes around and paints those big electrical boxes around town, they look better than the ugly green and grey boxes that they were prior to him painting them.. Do you like Sandrine Boulet’s artwork? Yes quite interesting Do you think graffiti on publicly-owned property should be legalised? No for graffiti but yes for tasteful art work. Would you like Banksy to secretly visit you and leave behind a mural on your home? No she wouldn't be able to do that here, but it would be great if she could.. I see your being propositioned too my friend. I hope you enjoy a fun filled weekend..

Yes.....i like these works. All art is interpretive.. Yes..i think street art should be legalised/commisioned and for pay. IF the work is not to ones liking..they come back and do a do over. Here is the birthplace of basketball , we have giant ceramic sneakers all over town.....and we also ( as Tmpt says) have grafitti artists covering those huge energy boxes. We also have fairs for street artists....and a map of the art works around the city. Its creative...its work...its colorful... Whats not to like ~~ ......and oh yeah...id love a visit from banksy....any sized art will do. Id treasure it !!

I think her art is very charming, and I like Banksy as well. I wouldn't go so far as allowing graffiti in public spaces. Without vetting, there's no way of insuring that what goes on the walls is mural art as opposed to something looking like this: [image]

I wish where I live had those murals. I wouldn't stand on it in case I fell!

The San Francisco 49ers now own 40 per cent of Leeds United; we are closer than we think!

You say you'd keep it, I would probably sell it while the market's hot. That's the great thing about art; it provokes conversation.

Like you, I think her art is extraordinary by making art out of the ordinary.

I don't like tagging graffiti. But it does serve a purpose whether it's a youngster wanting to tell the world they exist or a gang marking its territory.
