round and round we go.
round and round we go. a good friend of mine and my agency took the family shelter guests to an amusement park last week. god it was a hot day but the park is by the water and the breeze was good. half of the people didn't want to come but we made them and loaded them all up and closed the House down for the day. BB, my friend bought chicken nd steaks and shrimp and burgers and dogs and ribs and sausages and we made salads and corn on the cob and ate like kings. the played tag around the picnic area until BB said........RIDES!! now the funny thing was, some of the had never done amusement park rides before and they were a little nervous. so staff and parents had to ride too....just to calm the little ones of course . okay, remember all that food? uh huh, you got it..it started to get jiggled around. half way through the little roller coaster ride (btw i have pics of the biggest smiles!), T blew chunks. now, gravity would suggest it would fall to the ground, but remember, round and round we were going. uh huh............covered. almost all of us. so nothing to do but go swimming......some had suits, but all of us had a need to well....rinse off so in we go........ it was the best day. we crabbed and built sand castles and ate some where......not a complaint. not an angry moment. just food and fun and laughter. before BB left, he treated everyone to ice cream. this man is such a sweetie....retired, fixed income and i bet he dropped 600 bucks easy. but to see him with two on his lap and a chicken leg in his mouth, hair all mussed up, huge smile....well, i think he got his money's worth. how many of you like rollercoasters? every blow chunks on a ride? You cannot conceive the many without the one. |

What a wonderful friend! I bet the people that you had to "make" go on the outing were glad that you coerced them. I'm kind of a scaredy cat...the last ride I remember being on was called the Scrambler and the cars went around in a circle, heading for the ground at full speed seeming like they would slam into the ground ,but changing course at the last minute. You'd think by the third or fourth time this happened, the fear would go away, but I still screamed every single time

What a guy! Proof: not all men are trolls. Love to ride the roller coaster. At Santa Cruz boardwalk they have an old time one that rattles and you know you're going to loose your head as you hurtle toward the huge wooden beam but drop so fast your stomach rises to your throat. I've never lost it on a roller coaster. But I have lost it on rides that go round and round, twice when I was a kid. Once one the Tilt-a-Whirl and once on a ride we called the "Salt and Pepper Shaker" I don't like being dizzy - maybe it's a fear of loosing control thing - that and heaving which I don't care much for either. Hugs from out of the West just for Youwee, Oui

What a great memory to tuck away! Bet you have some wonderful pictures!! I am not the fondest of roller coasters...I don't usually ride them...and no, no chunk blowing! "and hugs to youPan..." Thanks Oui, I can use all the hugs I can get, even cyber ones. "why aren't you blogging....." I'm a bit schitzoid these past months, rushing about trying to find a door, a ladder, a crack in the wall that surrounds me here in the Bay Area, while that rotten imp "Guilt" sticks his pinchers in. "Blogging?!" he whines, "Blogging when you should be doing the Money Boogie like everybody else? How do you expect to attract a woman of the species with no Money?" But I just can't hang myself on that ol' cross of gold - so every once in a while the universe sends me a check from out of the blue - and recently it made me solvent for a few months! Things are looking up (pant, pant, gasp) I'll be leaving the Bay Area either this January or next summer! Hal Lay Lou JAH! (Just been reggae dancing) so now I'm up and writing - thinking of an article about "Education" for submission and and and....writing to you and Silk "Peg Leg" Kitty. That's it. I'll be dropping in from time to time - installed my scriptwriting program - ooooooo, can I crank up that one again? Dang! I wish there was a woman in the Bay Area who didn't have a disease, weighed less than me and didn't have her eyes on the wallet. "I've got blisters on my fingers!" More ...later my dear, dear Oui.
